Getting ready for your wedding day
Although Bysshe Court Barn cannot offer an on-site room for the morning preparation there are many hotels and B&Bs nearby given the close proximity to the airport. Amy on her wedding day rented out a large room at Gatwick Sofitel. It was a central meeting point for all her suppliers and bridal party conveniently near the venue.
Ceremonies in the barn
Dimmed lighting and warm wooden walls will give you a romantic and intimate place for your beautiful ceremony. A very spacious and elegant space for up to 100 guests is a perfect setting for your loved ones.
Wedding breakfast
The large space in the barn has plenty of natural light which creates a warm, welcoming atmosphere for your wedding breakfast. It also has direct and easy access to the courtyard. You can arrange your favourite caterers to make fresh and delicious food on-site. Buffet-style catering is recommended at Bysshe Court. Amy & Antony hired a local team, Outwood Butchers. They are an amazing, family-owned catering team with locally scourced, delicious food.
Mingling in the courtyard
While the team is arranging your tables for the dinner or setting up for the evening party you’ll be directed to the courtyard and gardens, with stunning photo opportunities and space to enjoy garden games. At this wedding they had the bar set up there too with their own bartender. There were also garden games to entertain guests.
Family and couple portraits
Whether it’s rainy or sunny, you will find Bysshe Court to be a perfect backdrop for your family and couple portraits. The endless opportunities, unique space and unobstructed views will create some amazing results for your photo album. I have chosen the area near the pond. It’s a little walking for all the guests but was absolutely worth the extra time.
The party! Dance floor and first dance.
After your wedding breakfast, you’ll be invited to cut your wedding cake and begin the first dance in the Barn where your wedding breakfast was. It’s the perfect place for all the dancefloor fun. The team will remove a few tables from the front which will create enough space for the dancefloor fun.
